Description: Brown Bear catching salmon at Brooks Fall (Ursus arctos)
The larger, older bears take the best fishing spots at Brooks Falls. This bear was very skilled at catching sockeye salmon. When the salmon are running an adult brown bear will consume 90 lbs of salmon a day, equivalent to 80,000 calories!
